Do you need an inner / outer belt and keepers

Is it necessary inner belt and keepers for your duty belt. This is one of the most common questions we receive about duty belts and police belts.

Inner Belt:
Our inner belt is 1.5 inches tall with soft Velcro on the outside. It's designed to go through the loops on your pants to help hold them up. Our 911 Gear belts include a polymer insert to provide some rigidity and support. The inner belt is used as support for our outer belt to keep it place.

Outer Belt:
Our outer belt is 2 inches tall and has hard Velcro on the inside. It's worn over the inner belt attaching to it using belt keepers. This setup gives your belt strength and prevents it from moving around while working, especially when carrying heavy items like handcuffs, batons, firearms, and magazines.

Do You Need Them?
The answer depends on how you wear your belt and what equipment you carry. If you're not carrying large pouches on anything heavy on your belt, you can use just an outer belt. However, for heavier gear, we recommended to use both an inner and outer belt together with keepers to prevent movement.

Things to Consider
Some pants have belt loops to hold a 2-inch belt, but the loops may restrict where you can place your equipment and in turn how much you can carry.

You know what i liked about this, these guys are elite skilled operators but they seem very cool and chill. Their American counterparts always seem to act as rough and tough as possible.

There are many many movies and TV drama shows where you see police officers remove their duty belt with ease, mainly in scenes where they have got home and remove the belt and place it on a table or the couch or when in the station and remove it. If belt keepers are designed to keep the duty belt attached to the officers pants belt, easy removal would not be possible because you would have undo the belt keepers first, correct?

Therefore are the majority of the police shows and movies wrong in how the duty belt is attached to the person? I've seen it in shows such as TJ Hooker, Hill Street Blues, NYPD Blue and many others where an officer has unclipped their duty belt and placed it down somewhere. This means no belt keepers were in use because surely if belt keepers were in use, the duty belt would still be attached to the pants belt?. Yes I know they are TV shows therefore not everything is identical to that of real life but I thought I would as the question anyway.
