| Idk if I should say this but the Akane family aren't really kannagis...cause kannagi's are meant to be pure & stuff, sure. Sure, impure emotions but Nene herself never acts on them. Still, the Akane family HAS acted on their impure emotions, due to this and the amount of hatred, jealousy and envy, they have taken away their divinity. They can no longer purify impurities (kegares) as they are now constered too impure themselves. I hope I make sense but if I don't, I will go deeper into it x
