The partition happened a generation ago but the emotions still linger. I feel like I carry that heartbreak in my DNA as the partition stories are too overwhelming to hear.

Well Rick you didn't cry that's understandable but so much people said you would because India-Pakiatan partition was a huge thing here, did you know that the number of people who were killed in the riots following partition was more than in both the world wars and that's not it, thousands of people were forced to leave their homeland, many friendships lost many homes burnt. So this reunion is the emotion of every normal person living at that time in India. That's why it makes us cry.. BTW you guys are awesome! Keep being that.. Lots of love

Please read up on the Partition of India and then you may get how heart-rending this ad is to Indian and Pakistani people. It's not separation of the kind you feel when you relocate, out of volition, from Long Island to Long Beach, say. There is in the background of this a forced exodus of millions of people, amid one of the most brutal genocides in Human history, engineered by the British as a kind of final Imperial blow to the subcontinent.

only Indians and pakistanis ...who's fore forefathers have went through the days of partition ...the generation who hear stories from their grandparents ..about the days ...can only relate ..will definitely shed one or two tears if not more this ad made me cry when i watched it for the first time

During partition of India and Pakistan in 1947, ethnic violence broke out in a way, that in Muslim majority pakistan, villages of Hindus and Sikhs were raded, and in Muslim minority areas, Hindus and Sikhs raided them. So people had to leave their homes overnight, leaving everything behind. Around 7Million people are believed to be migrated from Pakistan to India, and around same number for India to Pakistan, and 1 Million people are believed to be killed in the process😧. Even my family came from an area which today is in pakistan.

I cry every single time watching this ad. It induces tears from us indians and Pakistanis. A foreigner is hardly going to feel the pain
