Being myself a snake in the chinese zodiac ( Golden/Metal snake-2001) I can totally understand and relate to the snake. I struggled throughout my life while trying to understand why such isolation from other people took place, and much like the snake, whenever I feel hate and resentment in my heart, immediately I get into a path of self-awareness to understand what led me there. Every and each time it happens, something changes in my life for the better like how the snake sheds it's skin to grow larger and stronger. I find it fascinating how much I actually relate to my chinese zodiac sign. The only point of difference I can see with the snake is that, although the venom and isolation, the snake didn't understand at the right time, it's neither your fault nor anyone else's fault that the world and it's people are acting wihtout explanation. Every person around tries to feel sentimentally superior to someone else, thus trying to render other persons as somehow "evil" in it's mind, under whichever extensive perception it gives to the word "evil". Snake should have only acted on revenge upon people that actually hurt it and not the entire world and after justice had been served, it should've acted on behalf of it's morals, never closing the door to someone that actually wanted to become part of it's life. I never knew what was snake's story, it was really hard to find anywhere I looked on, thanks for the insight. It has a really tragic story and although that it was the most wronged, it never became empathetic resulting on it wronging others.

I was born under the sign of the snake...I'm not really interested in finding new friends, I'm more of a person :)! What's also true is that the problems and difficulties that have determined my path have allowed me to grow and mature and that has enabled me to reflect. The original legend says otherwise. The way the snake got to 6th place was by hitchhiking unnoticed on the horse and then scaring him before the finish line to steal 6th place from the horse who then finished 7th.

I like the mix of the frogs and the snakes. Away from the Chinese myths surrounding the snake it is interesting to note that Egyptians thought of snakes as a more feminine symbol and frog as a male. Always fascinating to read other cultures perspective on nature and how it intertwines with the human world.
