I love that! I had a colleague get a bit picked on for having a morganite but I thought it was gorgeous and let her know. I think the diamond tradition should be turned down a notch. Let’s let engagement rings be fun and colourful! Just like flowers have multiple unspoken meanings and colours so do gems so why not? I got a dark blue sapphire myself and I loved it because it was the same colour as my husbands eyes. 🥰

I love rose gold in general and morganite/aquamarine are some of my favorite stones. I would personally not want one in an engagement ring because of hardness but I do plan on getting one as a right hand ring eventually.

I have three of my great grandmother's engagement rings. They are a ruby, ands a sapphire set in gold, and a topaz in platinum. The ruby is very large and "furry". I love the warmth of it.
