I have a red Sizzix flower die and didn't like the center hole punch either. Ran across your alteration video and within minutes transformed it with no center hole. Thanks SO much for this Sizzix hack. Now I'm looking at all my Sizzix dies from another point of view!

a couple years ago i had two sets of the Tim holtz bigz die flower set. His movers and shapers gave me an idea. with a slotted screw driver and the heat gun i pried the mdf board off the block from the Bigz die. used my hack saw and cut the flowers into single flowers. Since i had two, I didn't mind messing up one. Now i can use a single flower if wanted. then i did the same with a christmas ornament one. The board ended up coming off the metal frame ornament, but it still worked. It didn't need the foam or the board.

I have been looking for a video that shows the really old dies being used in the Big Shot. Thank you so much for doing this!!! I have a ton of the old ones and hate using the big old heavy Sizzix machine!!

Looks like I am a day late and a dollar short watching these videos. I thoroughly enjoyed your video. I have tons of the "old" Sizzix original dies. Someday, I'll have to look closely at what I have. I subscribed to your channel because I think you are amazing!

You would think a business card die would have been an obvious product to make. Also playing card size. Another thing that everyone seems to want and I can't find either is a stamp die. Lots of people make faux stamps but there is no die for them the right size or sizes with the little perforated sides. I saw a vid where this guy cut and sharpened the end of a 1/16th brass tubing to an inch long. He inserted into the needle holder of a sewing machine and 'sewed' a long row of perforations! Genius!

is a great tutorial. I agree, I much prefer Sizzix to any of the electronic cutting machines. I like to actually feel like I'm crafting and not just pushing a button.

Thanks. This is a helpful video. I'm trying to decide whether to buy a Sizzix. One of my reasons for hesitation is that the available dies and embossing plates seem pretty limited and limiting. I've made some beautiful papers for journal covers by hand embossing, but it irritated the arthritis in my hands. I don't foresee making a lot of one thing, but I'd like to be able to cut and emboss a variety of materials.

Very interesting! I found a flower die in that red type that has 3 small holes in the middle about the size of a round hole punch and was wondering if the holes could be removed. Would I need to somehow remove the case around it or would I just be able to pull out the foam inside the dots and then grab the cutting blades from the front and pull them out?

what were those dimensions of the red rectangular sizzix die cutter? the one that you got three different answers to...

I too am looking for a die cutter that cuts the ATC without the corners... did you get any answers back regarding a 2.5" by 3.5" die cutter?

Where did you order the business card punch/die cutting machine? I've never seen one of those before.

I'm making my dream die with ATC with corners and the clear address holder. I'm going to pull out the corners. Plus a little crazy glue on the side where there's a bump.

Good job. I saw that you had a rolodex die. I'm looking for it but cannot find any for sale . If you have any information on who to contact please let me know. Keep up the good work.

hey! I am an avid lover of steel rule dies too - I love cutting thick stuff!!! I have been taking mine apart for a while too. I have some tips on the wood, newer ones. also, I have a really good vendor who makes custom dies pretty cheap. message me on Facebook if you want to chat :) I had like circles made to fit exactly inside of mason jars and stuff like that. thanks for the video! I really like your clear acetate template idea - good thinking on that, want to try it.
