SEASON 2 Sunfyre Dragon Preview - The Most Beautiful And Most Dangerous Dragon | House of the Dragon

House of the Dragon Season 2 will feature many Targaryens and Targaryen dragons, including Sunfyre. Sunfyre is the most beautiful Targaryen dragon in George R.R. Martin’s recorded history, and despite his young age, he is one of the most dangerous dragons. He also holds the record for killing the most dragons in the Targaryen civil war, having slain three dragons.

While we saw a few glimpses of Sunfyre in season 1 of a Game of Thrones Prequel series, House of the Dragon, we will finally get a proper look at him in all his glory in season 2.

House of the Dragon sees House Targaryen at its best, with as many as 17 dragons alive.

Some dragons like Vhagar and Cannibal are huge, monstrous, and old. Some, like Caraxes and Vermithor, are fierce and experienced in battle. Others, such as Moondancer, are quick and small. However, there is only one dragon considered the most beautiful: Sunfyre.

Sunfyre, also known as Sunfyre the Golden is a male dragon ridden by King Aegon II Targaryen. On Aegon’s personal sigil, the three-headed Targaryen dragon is made golden to honor his dragon Sunfyre. Aegon’s bond with Sunfyre is one of the strongest ever.

Sunfyre has gleaming gold scales, which shine like beaten gold in the sunlight, and pale pink wing membranes. His flames are golden as well.

Huge and heavy, the splendid Sunfyre is a formidable fighter despite his youth.

King Aegon II Targaryen will ride Sunfyre during the Dance of the Dragons, the civil war fought between the greens of Aegon and the blacks of his half-sister, Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen.

We will see Sunfyre in action in House of the Dragon Season 2, where he will battle a much older and more experienced Meleys of Rhaenys. Sunfyre will also fight and kill the Grey Ghost, a wild dragon of Dragonstone. The third dragon Sunfyre will face and defeat will be Baela’s dragon, Moondancer.

In the end, it is Sunfyre who burns and ends Rhaenyra Targaryen.

Sunfyre, the most beautiful dragon of House Targaryen and the one with the most dragon kills, is one of the most interesting dragons, and we will get a proper look at him in Season 2 of House of the Dragon.

The badass title belongs to Sunfyre. That little bastard is barely 20 years old and manages to turn the tide between Vhagar and Meleys, a dragon probably 3 times his age and size, survived Vhagar's attack. Slaughters dozens of men sent to kill it, manages to fly across across the country and onto dragonstone. Kills Grey Ghost, a healthy dragon older than him, getting wounded more in the process.Then, even barely able to move or fly, manages to kill Moondancer as well and winning the Battle of Dragonstone. He's unstoppable

Well, Meleys wasn't killed by Sunfyre. Instead, Sunfyre would be dead if it was 1v1 against Meleys. It was Vhagar that saved him. Even then, Meleys made Sunfyre flightless and severely injured

Not only is he good looking, he is incredibly good at fighting, he record says it all. If this dragon grew bigger it would be a monster. Very similar to Caraxes. Honestly, I'm glad someone like Aegon has a partner like that.

I love how Sunfyre and Aegon’s destinies are so intertwined. Both go from handsome creatures to maimed and damaged, yet victorious. It’s almost a shame that Rhaenyra and Aegon are on different sides of the war because they’re two of the best characters and who ride the coolest dragons.

Black's had more powerful dragons than green, if they had fighted like a team they could have easily killed Vhagar, sunfyre and dreamfyer.
