Jojo's has always rippled in line of being manly/gay, let's not forget THAT Avdol and Joseph episode or when Polnareff becomes a naked ass baby, that weird scene of the orangutan with the girl, and some other Joseph scenes.

The characters after part 3 are still manly, not because of how they look, but because of how they act, Josuke getting up, all bloodied to the brink of collapse, still maintaining his willing to fight and protect his city from Kira, part 5 characters going in a journey against a whole criminal organization to save his country from drugs, Giorno ripping his arms off several times to save his friends, Mista shooting Ghaccio even after receiving several impacts of bullets, Abacchio sacrificing himself in two occasions, Bruno risking his life saving Trish even after being pierced by king crimson, and more.
Generally, jojo's teaches that what matters, isn't the flamboyant clothing or poses, but the man in them. In part 1, Jonathan has to defeat his enemies not by strength, but by outsmarting them, and that style didn't changed at all even in latest parts, all of the stories and battles became more refined and creative, but still maintaining that essence that constitutes the series since its beginning, jojo's hasn't changed his manliness/heroic story type, the only thing that it has changed are the muscles and clothing, but jojo's teaches that it doesn't matter.
Manliness isn't about muscles or being tough, is about love, sacrificing yourself for what you love, for what you believe, for a good to to the the world or to a loved one. That what series like Hokuto no Ken or Jojo's teaches.

Part 1, 2, 3 of jojo are my favorite because they're very manly, but also part 5, 6, 7 are good, they have manly story and philosophy (obviously also part 1 2 3 )

Okay I get that muscles = tough but that's not always the case look at Lelouch and Light (before he got nerfed). Most Jojo's after part 3 are shown to be smarter and stronger if we don't count their plot armour. To be fair Josuke (4) isn't very tough but if he was in Dolphin Prison or the sbr race or even part 8 Morioh-cho instead of part 4 Morioh-cho I guarantee he would step up his game.
