2025 BYD eMAX 7 EV First Impressions | AutoDeal Walkaround

This might be a game-changing and segment-breaking unit—again. BYD is going for yet another market shaker. The BYD eMAX 7 is an MPV but it is also an EV. Looks good but some points to consider:

- This has the lowest ground clearance in its class (170 mm). Lower than Veloz (190 mm). Ertiga (185 mm). BRV (205 mm). XPander (205 mm). Good enough for most conditions BUT i’ve seen videos of it scraping humps easily under full capacity.

- With how Ayala miscarried Volkswagen and Maxus in the Philippines, i’m still on the fence regarding aftersales quality ng BYD under Ayala. The brand itself is good but it really can go the Geely PH route if not handled properly.

Despite their Chinese roots, gotta say BYD looks amazing. Heck even this MPV looks good. I don't even like Chinese cars at all, but still kudos to those designers over at BYD.

These are the new 6 seater taxis here in Hong Kong. I've recognized it just the other day because of that "space" emblem on the third row window. Now I'm curious to actually ride one just to see how spacious it is inside, as well as the ride.

Wow very nice. Sayang hindi nila nikagyan ng Frunk, it looks to have enough space for one. A frunk is a game changer for 7 seater MPVs dahil usually at full load wala ka na space for cargo. A frunk would help a lot khit maliit.

Nag test drive ako ng emax7 kahapon. So far maayos naman ang hatak. Di ko lang naitanong at na mention ng agent yung spare tire. Yun ang downside ng unit, mahirap bumyahe na walang reserba.
