Recta, located in eastern Osea, continues to thrive as a nation ever since it regained its independence in 1991. But that means it used to be an independent nation in the past. How did it lose its independence in the first place? It all happened back in the 1970’s during a war known as the Rectan Conflict.

the line "belka pushed deep in to Rectan territory" is at times the only reason i rewatch this

This makes me wish we had an AC spin-off where we would play as Silber Squadron in the Recta Conflict. Very interesting.

This would be the perfect setting for Ace 8 since so many people want a cold-war era Ace Combat, but at the same time it probably won't have the east vs west feel that you'd want from a Cold war style game, and we need another enemy other than Belka, unless you play as Belka in it.

Also I thought the Belkan air forcw was the greatest on Earth. How did they get beaten by Recta so early?

YouTube recommended this channel to me just YESTERDAY, YESTERDAY! Sometimes I wonder whether this particular platform is broken or not... Nevertheless, you are doing God's work by making these videos. Keep up the good work and good luck on future videos!

I litterally just defeated silber team in my first playthrough of belkan war, and read Kellerman's bio. Thanks for providing the additional lore.

They need to make Ace Combat 8 focus on the Rectan War or a possible DLC

I find it funny that Namco Bandai or Bandai Namco (Project Aces) never included the Rectan Conflict thinking: "The player doesn't need to know about a short backstory of Belka of conquering a weaken country. Let's just give em a short story of lossing economic power and the countries who emerged from the annexation. From there, show the player a Nazi Germany style antagonist who started to invade everyone in the region. The name of this conflict you ask? It's not a World War for sure. We call it: The Belkan War."

😐 So much lore behind the scenes that are all left out. In my opinion, a good amount of lore helps to make a game and it's story more intriguing. Explore so much history in the game while you play. Learn the characters and their bio. Form a fandom for that particular character, place, or in this case an aircraft. It's almost like reading a good book or a manga. It needs a good amount of lore and flavor to go back to again and again.

Great narration. Great account on the different aspects of Ace Combat Strangereal universe in great detail. Simply outstanding. Hands down. True Ace right there🎖

It should be a war crime that Dietrich Kellerman wasn't called "Belkan's Mainz Man" after pushing through that stalemate.

Dietrich Kellerman's status as pilot was assumed to be retired before the Belkan War. In 1990, he would soon join the Belkan Air Force Academy as its instructor for a special course called the 9th Academy Special Process, otherwise known as the "Kellerman Institution." He was not just instructor for the next-generation Silber Squadron pilots, but to a few well-known who would become ace pilots. These Belkan pilots who graduated from his Institution were:

Name: Marco Favazza
Callsign: Messer 2
Squadron: Messer Squadron
Mission Appearance: 14A [Mars Operation] - The Final Overture (Hard Difficulty)
Aircraft Used (Belkan War): Gripen C
Status: Deceased

Name: Rainer Walter
Callsign: Ritter
Squadron: Unknown
Mission Appearance: 17 - The Valley of Kings
Aircraft Used (Belkan War): F-22A Raptor
Status: Alive (Incarcerated)

Name: Michael Heimeroth
Callsign: Ofnir
Squadron: Ofnir Squadron
Mission Appearance: 10 - Mayhem (Soldier Path - Ace Difficulty)
Aircraft Used (Belkan War): F-15 S/MTD
Status: Alive (prior to the Circum-Pacific War, the events of Ace Combat 5)

He has pretty good background across the main characters of the war, but I would think this would be better off to have it explained in a separate video if possible. Yet, maybe I could do it instead...
