Ugears Horse-Mechanoid – a unique assembling model that joins nature and mechanics. The innovative mechanism of this beauty makes the Bionic Horse a real walking. All the joints and movements closely resemble those of a real horse, but powered by rubber bands, gears, cranks and gravity.

Long before the times of mechanical transport, the most common and, frankly speaking, the only available way to travel had been strong and fast horses. Ugears looks away from high end technologies and ultrahigh-speed to appreciate the time of travelling by horse-back with a model joining nature and mechanics – the Bionic Horse.

Making the Horse quadrupedal was one of the project’s main challenges. In the walking mechanisms designed by many engineers before, stability of the moving construction was realized by means of additional extremities or other extra-supports. Ugears’ wizards have found a smarter way to achieve stability in motion. The absolutely unique mechanism of the model that makes your Horse a real quadruped is a brand new innovation developed by Ugears and presented for you to test for the first time ever.

We paid special attention to the anatomy of the animal’s legs to make sure that all the joints and movements closely resemble those of a real horse. To animate the legs the engineers implemented a claw mechanism.

The bionic heart of your horse is a pendulum installed in the chest of the mech. The oscillations of the pendulum slow the transmission of energy from the rubberband motor to the movable elements extending the working time of the mechanism. The Bionic Horse won’t carry you over the horizon – the distance it can cover in one winding is quite limited. Although, it is enough to observe the work of the unique mechanism and enjoy the beauty of the mechanics of the model.

I have built this, taken it apart and rebuilt it. I’ve got the legs in sync. Unfortunately it’s to top heavy and falls over. The engineers need to reconfigure the lower body and legs so they are further away from the center point. Allowing stability. For the price point, it was fun to build. Instructions are tough to maneuver thru as well. Be prepared for a lot of swearing. Lol

Добрый день! Купил конструктор. Собрал! А конь отказываться ходить. Я уже и снимал ноги, смазывал их, ставил обратно, он делает пол шага, резинка до конца не разматывается. Очень разочарован этим конструктором. так же есть ошибки в инструкции, а именно: стр.26 действие 1 (справа) дет.93 - не указана и также на дет. 97 насечка не в том месте где на детали.Также я не могу оставить отзыв на вашем оф.сайте

Какой смысл в создании сложных механизмов, адекватно собрать который может разве что разработчик... У половины и машина не хочет ехать дальше полуметра
