This Is The Dementia Village

There is a secured village located in the Netherlands designed for people with dementia. Hogeweyk is known as Dementia Village, because all of its 150 residents have severe dementia and require 24-hour-a-day care. The residents of Hogeweyk are able to do day-to-day activities and live a largely normal life. This is possible, because they are under surveillance at all times, there are twice as many carers as residents and the carers wear ordinary casual clothes, so they work pretty much in disguise.
