Adam Kinzinger is a U.S. representative (R-Ill). He is one of two Republicans to serve on the Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th Attack on the United States Capitol. Kinzinger served in the Air Force and continues to serve as a pilot in the Air National Guard.

This interview was conducted by the Kirk Documentary Group’s Mike Wiser for FRONTLINE on May 18, 2022. It was filmed for a forthcoming documentary, "Lies, Politics and Democracy."

The non-partisan way he approached this interview with blunt honesty regardless of which party he was talking about really impressed me! I may not agree with all of his political views but I can't help respect him for his integrity. The US needs more people like Adam Kinzinger on both sides of the aisle! Having the courage and the desire to do the right thing no matter the cost to oneself are highly admirable characteristics and should be applauded by all, no matter party affiliation.

Having known more than a few military pilots, I admire Adam Kinzinger but he does not surprise me. They are almost invariably intelligent, principled souls intolerant of magical thinking because what they do is so thoroughly rooted in reality. They went to the moon after all.
