To some extent this guy is more scary than Khabib. Khabib took everyone in the ground and landed strikes here n there but Islam’s strikes are way more significant and often. If he gets composure like Khabib he will keep the winning streak easily.

I think it was an early stoppage, the ref stopped the fight as soon as Islam's body dropped, he wasn't out, raised his legs up like he wanted to defend himself from half gard or securing a triangle or armbar, Islam is also good at securing submissions from bottom position, he could survive, his haters always brings up his one and only loss, call him a glass jaw, Islam also got punched hard by Davi Ramos but quickly recovered, that loss reminded me Jorge Masvidal's first Tko loss(out of Ufc), it was an early stoppage also

When you fall back on you folded leg like that, dropping straight down at free fall speed, the ref is most likely going to stop it. And it's a good thing, preventing unnecessary damage, and also allowing Islam to learn and grow from that loss. It's pretty important sometimes to lose one. Keeps you open to viewing yourself humble and seeking improvement, motivated, and working even harder.
