Reviewing the TopVision Jump Starter & Power Pack.

THIS VIDEO IS NOT A RECOMMENDATION OF THIS PRODUCT. IT'S JUST INFORMATIONAL.
SECOND UPDATE: I removed the Amazon link because the battery is not longer available. I asked Amazon and the seller about it and they said the batteries were backordered because of Covid. But I wonder it it's really because of a large number of defective units. Several people have reported to me that their units did not work right. I have four of these and all of mine are working fine.
UPDATE: I posted a second review the TopVision, titled "Second TopVision Jumpbox Review" . It has worked great for us, but it DOES NOT have the amount of current potential they advertise. The cables are far too weak to supply the amount of current the company claims. And it will turn itself off after a few seconds at high load. But I confirmed that it will jump off a backhoe. See my second TopVision video for more details.
Update from a question posed by a viewer: This jump box will charge from any source of power, but will not charge as fast from weaker sources. I charge mine from a 3.5Amp charger that was made for cell phones and it charges from 20% to 100% in a couple of hours. In my Chevy Equinox it charged for 45 minutes and only gained about 15%. But in my GMC Sierra truck it charged from 20% to 85% over the course of a 90 minute drive. So the more amps the charger can supply, the faster it will charge.
I have now jumped off 5 vehicles on two charges and it performed excellent. The small display on the plug-in has a voltmeter built into it, which is very useful. It displays the battery voltage. There is no mention of that in the instruction manual.
This jump starter seems to do a good job. Since making this video, I've used it twice to jump off cars, charged several cell phones and powered an electric air compressor, and it has worked fine. The lithium batteries appear to hold a charge pretty good. Time will tell.
It got 4.7 stars out of 7056 ratings on Amazon, so apparently the crowd likes it. I paid $79.99 for it.
This is a battery starter and not a battery charger. I did a review of the Schumacher battery charger if you want to see one of those.
