My daughter is doing her homework, I'm listening to 'Something Blue' over and over; it's a grey day in Brooklyn New York, and I am very grateful for this moment.

I'm from Argentina. It's a hard night here, five months of quarantine and the COVID hiting us very hard. Hope better times are coming. Miss my friends so much. Sorry for my bad english, and thanks for the music..

Hiroshi Yoshimura's work is the only music that makes me feel completely at peace. I see it as a sort of audio induced ego death. Through his music, I lose myself and dissolve comfortably into the universe. It is pure bliss.

Hiroshi Yoshimura is everything that I like about ambient music. It's perfect. So ahead of its time in the 1980's.

Apparently the album was designed to be played inside of model homes for a Japanese Realty / Home Building Company, consider my mind blown cuz I consider this an auditory Masterpiece I would never once guess it was made for that. Yoshi really is one-of-a-kind

the first song is what it sounds like to be asleep on a raft floating in the middle of the ocean. the ocean is incredibly calm as if it was a lake and the sun is light as if it was behind clouds in spring. everything smells like rain and every breath you take makes your lungs feel happier.

I imagine being in late 80s Japan, looking for a house with my girlfriend/wife. The weather is nice, sunny, warm yet there is a slight breeze and we hear the birds singing and some kids playing in the distance. The neighborhood is all quiet, no cars around. We walked a couple of minutes from the train station. We enter the home we came to see which stands at the end of the street, with a beautiful panorama to the sea, and then this starts playing. Life is perfect.

I listened to this when I first came to Japan 2 years ago. It reflects so much the profound silence and beautiful nostalgia ambiance of the city. I love this piece of art with all my heart 🌱

I am in Russia. They want to jail me for 10 years for weed starting in 2019. I haven't used anything for a long time. this music helps me live continue to live

pov: as you sink to the bottom of the quiet sea, you feel heavier, and heavier...You can breathe?...
all you see is blue, when you wake up...All you see is clouds

this is one of the best japanese ambience i've ever listened to, don't care what people say 'bout ambient music it's relaxing and helps with getting work done.

I had to come back here for a 40 minutes of peace while the world is turning into a madness.

the mastering on Hiroshi's albums are amazing even when compressed from youtube! I cant imagine what a vinyl or cd version would sound like!

I am here then I'm there
I am all things and I am nothing
My heart is at peace yet it rages
my narrative is sublime yet I'm talking bollocks

seriously very relaxing - sitting in a japanese tea house in contemplation
