People treat these "verses, " "pride comes before the fall" "hate the sin but love the sinner, " as actual God inspired scripture instead of the man-made paraphrases. Not that these sayings are evil but they certainly are not Gods gospel. Just trying to encourage followers to quote the actual words instead of catchy one liners that may sound a bit more attractive. Let's quote scripture in its full context y'all and have a groovy time while we do it!

“Money is the root of all evil” is a pretty common one people mistake. It’s “the LOVE of money is the root of all of evil.” 1 Timothy 6:10

I'm grateful that God gives me more than I can handle. If He didn't, then I'd become prideful.

Cannot stand when someone says "follow your heart." or "as long as you're happy"

Most of ya'll are all like "wait no! this verse is what this says!" but Sunday Cool is just trying to tell us that we should say the true word of God and not man-made quotes that SOUND the same. That's all lol

And I said, Lord, why did I only see one set of footprints? And He said, Because the sand people always ride single file, to hide their numbers.

Proverbs 13:24 “He that spareth his rod hateth (spoils) his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes.”

“If there’s hair in your ears there’s sin in your heart”?
Must be a new translation.

"Not today, Satan."
"Jesus is my homeboy."
"Is it true, is it kind, is it funny? Think only on these things."
"God knew your intentions. That's all that matters."

Great video, very inspirational and moving cinematography 👌😝

I kept waiting for "God helps those who help themselves" bc I hear that one pretty often 😂

"Pride goes before destruction and haughtiness before a fall." That's the verse. PSA: Haughtiness is pride, they have the same meaning. 'Pride goes before a fall' isn't a paraphrase, it's a translation, an interpretation, and a morally excellent, true one, at that.

Yeah there were one or two that I was like “but wait, that is actually in the Bible”, but I applaud this video. Semantics matter and how these verses get distorted (or don’t exist at all) certainly matters! Good job, Carl. 👍🏻👍🏻🤓

Verses that aren't in the Bible, but actually are in the Bible:
"Pride goes before a fall" =(sort of) Proverbs 16:18
"The devil made me do it" = Gen 3:13 😉
