Seen this at a local store. To say this is XL is an understatement. It’s absolutely massive.

Matt, how about a video where you do a complete tour of the outdoor kitchen (all your gear, etc)?

Just watched Jeremy Siers do a review yesterday…and always gives a shout out to Matg because he use’s the meat church rubs. He obviously appreciates the best.

Got the email from traeger yesterday. Immediately told the wife when I build an outdoor kitchen, that will be the center piece. Looks amazing, so much room inside the grill, has the induction surface so I don't have to move indoor for finishing steaks. Looks like a dream come true all-in-one.

Today is father's day. I can't believe my 4 adult kids didn't get me one of these. Very nice.

I was going to get the old model Timberline. I have the old School Pro Series and wanted to add a Timberline. I'm glad I waited to buy. First I've got to convince my wife that the price is worth it.

This thing looks awesome! Love that is supports the wireless probes! Now I just need to convince my wife we need to spend 4 grand on a smoker!

I upgraded from a pro22 to a Pro 780. The computer controlled 780 sucked. Cooked meat longer then the old style. Created zero smoke during the cook. Zero smoke ring. No smoke flavor. It’s an outdoor wood fired convection oven. I was lucky and my local Ace hardware let me swap with the Pro 34. I love it. Smokes during the cook. Staying within 15 degrees of my set. I can control temps with the dampening. It’s the best pellet smoker I’ve used. The computer controlled new one is cool if you don’t like getting dirty or tasting smoke.

Just ordered mine. Just the Timberline though (not XL); but it is the same revamped system. Excited.

Long time follower, thanks for all your shared knowledge!!
Would love to see and hear an update now that you have had it for a while. Reliability? Overall impressions? The goods and the bads.

Hey Matt, thanks very much for the content. You are always one of my TOP resources. I've ordered the lone star grillz 42 but it's another couple months from delivery. Really rethinking this and maybe the Traeger is a better fit, especially with my "immediate gratification" tendencies, as my wife puts it. If you have a minute, what are your thoughts? Wait for the lone star or get the traeger ironwood xl? Thanks sir!

Thanks Matt. This is a really cool rig and has some pretty incredible features. It's encouraging that you've been able to test it for 6 months, so can verify its performance.
I've been considering whether to get the Timberline 1300 or the Recteq 1250. The Recteq is less expensive, has a 6 yr warranty and gets hotter. But the induction burner takes care of the heat issue and the new 10 yr warranty is pretty sweet. Not coming with the shelf, hooks or other attachments takes away, increasing the cost significantly.
For 1700 bucks you get the RT, with a shelf, and have enough left over for an induction burner and Meater Block and still save over 1500.
I decided to wait for this announcement before making a decision. As much as I'd love this rig sitting on my deck, I just can't justify that much for a grill. It's approaching what I paid for my offset reverse flow, and it has the cold smoke box and searing plate additions (now that's built like a tank!).

This has some nice upgrades i could use for sure. I bought my second Treager last year from the Waxahachie Meat Church store, Ironwood 885, love it and use it weekly but have never been able to get the app to work with the grill. I have massive WiFi here so that is not the issue, can’t figure it out. I have since bought the MEATER probe and that works very well. Hey Matt, I live on your street, come help a brother out with the app.

So why did Traeger add an induction burner and increase the cost by $1500? This is absurd

So, I could buy this or a pellet grill, a charcoal grill, a sous vide cooker, an outdoor griddle, and a propane or induction burner for $500 to $1000 less than this grill? Trager isn't for me, I have the room on the patio for multiple cooking devices. Some may not and this may fill the bill for them. Either way, love the Meat Church channel and have many seasonings in the spice cabinet.
