I'm 50 years old, but when I listen to music from that era, which is from my parents' generation, I feel like I'm part of those good times.

Love the beginning with all of the Stones and Clapton puffing on brass. Thank Jethro for Black Sabbath cause Iommi said that they were lazy but after being with Tull he learned we must practice our asses off and get tight!. And yes, they did. Ian was a taskmaster and Tony took that lesson to Geezer, Bill and Ozzy and great things happened.

Glad Tony went on to form Black Sabbath and that Tull /Anderson went on with Jethro Tull - Martin Barre to give us two great bands and some epic music

Jethro Tull were an outstanding band in the day- so bloody cool then and still now. I love "Locomotive Breath" When i'm in a "certain state of mind" i send that tune to my son when he's working... he drives trains. 🤣😂 Peace.

"I used to have to drive the bloody van and get them up at quarter to nine every morning; which was, believe me, early for us then. I said to them, "This is how we have got to do it because this is how Jethro Tull did it."
Thank for doing that Tony, and Martin Barre was the guitarist Jethro Tull needed.

Saw an interview with Tony, he said that is was quickly clear to him when him and Ian started jamming a bit and throw around ideas, that Ian was an absolute control freak that insisted on controlling every single note of every single song, including guitar. Tony knew that he didn't want to be contained like that, just be Ians guitar player, so they parted ways pretty quick with no hard feelings, since they barely even got stated. Soon thereafter the Circus gig came up for Ian and he begged Tony to please, just do this one gig. Tony figured that playing, or performing at least, with these high profile musicians would be good for business, so he said Ok, and here we are. Would have been great if they did another song and let Tony rip, but obviously that wasn't in the cards, they had to make time for Yoko !

Great video! Yeah, it sounds just like the album, which makes you wonder if it was live. Tony Iommi has a good video somewhere describing his time in the band. He said he One night he sat down with Ian to have dinner, and after that the other band members said you don’t do that Ian eats alone. Basically, Tony didn’t dig that vibe, he wanted a band that was equal. I guess Ian was kind of a control freak. What a career he had with many great songs, and even a Christmas Carol song with a small orchestra. He was a great musician for sure, and when you look at him there, he just kinda looks like your every day druggie. Which was an amazing feat in acting. all the guys in every phase of Jethro Tull was definitely top shelf musicianship. if you see Martin Barre come to town, go see it. He goes through the whole history of Jethro Tull! It’s an excellent show, I saw it about two years ago in Connecticut.😊02/15/2025

Why don't we sing this song all together
Open our heads let the pictures come
And if we close all our eyes together
Then we will see where we all come from

Borrowed this album from my Uncle in late 80’s, instantly liked this song and still revisit it occasionally. Just now did I realize it’s with Iommi, and I loves me some Sabbath. As well as Tull🤜🏻

The original guitarist on this song, ( the album) is Mick Abrams, who went on to form Blodwyn Pig, a tullesque spinoff, the same way this bassist, Glen Cornick, formed Wild Turkey. Tull was so successful it spawned other bands. This must have been done before they got Martin Barre, and they auditioned Steve Howe, who passed when they said he couldn't be involved in the songwriting, that was Ian's vision.
