I would love to see her make an updated performance of this in her studio. It’s one of my favorite pieces.

A breathtaking performance for sure! The same star that Cziffra was guided by, Mrs. Koeckert must also be following - one can see a similarity (see youtube b/w film of Cziffra playing transcendental etude) . Maybe someone can comment on the event/location/name of orchestra?

Как часто в современной культуре можно услышать слово " виртуозность". Так часто, что все уже перестали понимать истинный смысл этого понятия. А между тем виртуозность подразумевает неограниченные технические возможности исполнителя для выражения художественного замысла автора. И, вопреки расхожему мнению, настоящих виртуозов в наше время почти нет. Многие исполнители прикрывают технические сложности "музыкальностью". Это производит впечатление некоторого "обмана".
В исполнении же Кристины безграничная техника лишь служит воплощению замысла, эмоциональному настрою. В этом и есть настоящая виртуозность. Как у Листа, Циффры, Бермана...
И очень замечательно, что в наше время есть музыкант, который продолжает эту традицию. Браво, Кристина!
