Pierce Brosnan Returns as Bond! What if... No Time to Die Trailer

Ever since I saw GnC Films' excellent Casino Royale trailer edit starring Timothy Dalton from way back when, I knew one day I would have to have a go at it myself.

Pierce being the Bond of my childhood, it was only rightful he'd get the (virtual) opportunity to star in a fifth outing.

Ok now I want Pierce Brosnan back with a 'Logan' approach complete with a killer beard. Old man Bond!! I'm in for that. Brosnan deserves a better send off than 'Die Another Day'.

This is incredible... Not just the idea of Brosnan being back and getting an actual Bond movie for the first time in like over a decade but how this is executed.

Those shots with Brosnan edited into the new footage was great and that editing for him driving the DB5 at the end was incredibly well matched!

Pierce Brosnan resurrected Bond from the scrap heap in 1995 and his reward? A phone call dismissing his services. The man deserved a better ending than Die Another Day and should have been given the respect of going out on his own terms. He was entitled to a fifth film. Nice going, Barbara Broccoli and Michael Wilson.

Honestly? This is much better than it has any right to be. Normally cutting and splicing clips from a decades worth of movies and trying to fit them into place with an existing soundtrack and story usually comes across as haphazard at best. It's often all too glaringly obvious where the cutting and pasting has been done and the quality of that usually detracts from the viewing experience. But this? You've done such a good job with your well selected alternate shots that your changes are virtually seamless. If you're not already, you deserve to be working in the industry if that's what you want.... and take this as a compliment from someone who has been successfully writing and executive producing for 20 years.

The man. And unlike Daniel Craig, Pierce wanted to be Bond. Craig constantly talks about how tired he is of playing Bond until they offer him a bigger paycheck. Meanwhile Pierce was fired over the phone for no reason other than the producers wanted to makes James Bourne. Shameful. Bring back Pierce!
