What makes you think 2022 did not go to plan. The plan was to gut roster.

As a Bears fan, this was a refreshing take. It feels like the media is either way too high or way too low on the Bears right now. I am as hyped as anyone about how much better the roster is and the support we now have around Fields compared to 2022, but we are still young and injuries unfortunately always play a role. I would be happy winning 8 games and beating the Packers 🐻⬇️

Kmets contract is tied for 9th highest paid TE. It’s a fine contract

The Kmet deal was far from an over-pay. Kmet’s best football has yet to come; Poles just locked Kmet in to a team friendly deal, banking on him ascending into the ranks of elite level TEs. Statistically speaking, Kmet should make that leap. Check out Swift’s analysis of TE development and Kmet’s work compared to legendary TE’s and then you will see why Kmet got the deal he did.

As a bears fan I can say this is a good description of the teamZ they need work on the front 7 still. Poles came in to a situation that was a total mess. Yes he had a Qb but the offense was in shambles and we were in cap hell after paying 2 edge rushers insane contracts. The pieces around Fields were sub par. That doesn’t excuse the issues fields has with taking sacks and ball security. I have to mention he was also drafted by a Coach and GM on their way out. You can’t make a 10 win team out of the scraps of an old regime.

Da Chicago Bears season in 2022 went exactly as planned 💯for Ryan Poles point of view ‼️he completed stripped down the roster and took every bad dollar of the books for 2023 and beyond and building da roster the right way and that’s thought da Draft and supplement in FA we have 2 first round picks next year and 2 second in 2025 with also still da most Cap space in the league 💯Da Bears will have a legit Super Bowl window from 2024 and beyond mark my word

If the Bears go 9-8 the season will be a success. If all goes well they will make serious noise in 2024.

No one expected the bears to win many games last year even though they surprised many by only losing by a few games by a touchdown or less. 2022 season was just really to see what they needed on the team on both sides of the ball and who t get rid of.

I got them going 9-8 ceiling for this team is if they make it to the NFC Championship game and their pointedly playoff contender

Bears lost alot of games by one score or less last year. But the plan was definitely not to win games. .. a jump to 8 wins would be a victory in 2023

Not a bears fan but they're gonna show up this year and this is Field's coming out season

Fields has 420 rushing yards in his rookie year 😏

You list PFF's missed tackle percentages for Ngakoue, but Pro Football Reference's show the last two season his stats improved from that consistent 20+% down to 12.5% in 2021 and 9.4% last year. It all depends on who you believe. Personally I have no faith in PFF because their stats simply don't tally with what we can all see with our own eyes. According to them, the Ravens gave the 26th best LB last year a $100m contract.

It is kinda crazy to think they'd go from worst to first.
