Please, Please, Please make a roughout African Ranger or Razorback, unlined. Waxed Roughout would be even better.

So many boot brands will have promo shots and ads but very few will have a channel so full of detailed reviews, stress tests, and breakdowns for their range. Absolutely gold standard stuff, can't wait to get my first pair.

If I could afford it, honestly I would buy both. Each of them literally tells you what it's made for just by the looks, the razorback wants you to go out and chop some wood or build a shed and the ranger just wants to be taken on a hike or camping trip.
Such awesome and functional designs!

I work, trek, and go to town in only one pair of boots, my Razorback by Jim Green. Living in the cooler high Drakensberg, whilst managing a farm, my feet experience every conceivable range of conditions you can think of. Spring with new veld grass wet with recent rain, rushing streams, stables, towing stuck cars from the deep mud on the un-serviced district road, ( When will this service ever happen?), and workshop with oil and grease. High summer, maintaining roads and hiking trails, mowing, gardening, general concrete construction, forestry, and fencing, you name it, it is probably on my list of tasks. Autumn, burning firebreaks and preparing the property for winter, with its cold frost and occasional snow, dry veld fighting runaway fires. then in the same boots after a lick and polish, I go to town once in a while, (one has to, unfortunately) I am happy to walk around, proud to be a countryman in my Razorbacks. The only times I don't wear my Razorbacks are when I shower, and in bed, for obvious reasons, I think. All in all, I wear them because I don't have to think about them. They just become a natural part of me and who I am.
Now here is the thing. Right from the go, I will in the future replace the inner sole with a custom sole. My feet and rough lifestyle wear out the factory-fitted fiber sole very quickly. and secondly, I will wear gumboots on the district road in the future. Give these Razorbacks by Jim Green of South Africa a go. I have never been disappointed with them. And another thing, perhaps I will buy two pairs next time round, one for all the hard work, and the other as my "going out" pair, but I will wear my work pair when I have to meet my bank manager. It will show him I'm still strong and hard-working.

I love these kinds of videos that show us exactly what we're getting, I wish more companies would provide this kind of information, as well as the rose anvil style cross sections.

I just purchased the Razorback with the safety toe and I love them. After breaking them in over a weekend, I put them straight to use in the mud and muck of a field audit in the oilfield in Texas. They performed admirably and I look forward to many more years of service from them.

I have a pair of African Rangers and love them. Thanks Jim Green for making quality boots and supporting rangers in the field and local economy.

I bought my african rangers in buffalo leather two years ago; and they are, without a doubt, one of the best pair of footwear I've ever owned, fullstop. I plan to buy a standard pair in fudge soon.

I'm so glad you made this video. As someone who gets shoes through work, I still spend my money with you guys. I have people ask about your products, as the green laces are an eye catcher. My only desire is for you to offer the African Ranger in tan. It's such a cool color.

I own both the Ranger and Razorback as well as the Vellie. They are great, great boots from a great company.

I’m enjoying my razorback boots. Upon receiving them a couple of weeks ago. And opening the box, I looked at them for the longest time. And thought they are some great looking boots. Even more better in person.

I have had some rangers for about 6 months and wear them several times a week. The are great for early morning dogs walks around my neighborhood, though I am already getting some wear on the soft (and comfy) soles from the sidewalks. I'm looking at either some razorbacks or maybe the new Baobab next. I'd love to see a similar comparison that includes that boot.

Bought a pair of Rangers about two months ago. Wear them for most hiking and camping (I prefer boots to runners/shoes or sandals). Was a little tough to break them in, but really like the expanded toe box.
