I don't understand how this is isn't immediately considered the magnum opus of Nuture; it's amazingly powerful. It's porter's element of unique emotions, and it's just raw unadulterated beauty. The lyrics, the singing itself, the pure wall-of-sound ring, it's so incredible.

this song is so, so, fucking powerful. as i understand it, it talks about growing. That moment when you remember the past, maybe the dark parts of it, and realize that its okay to be sad about it and that its healing to cry, because compared to than you've managed to grow a ton. Its a song about progress and about letting yourself feel what you're feeling, and that is just amazing in my opinion. Thank you, porter(and TEED).

Thinking about it in a more serious way, I can't believe this is happening. I discovered Porter's music towards the end of 2019. I was watching a video which used the orchestral version of Shelter and it reminded me of a song I had heard before that sounded like that. So I searched up the original and from there it was a matter of time until I slowly discovered the rest of Porter's music, one by one, over the course of a month.

Upon looking at the Wikipedia page for the "Worlds" album, I couldn't believe it was from 2014, that for almost 6 YEARS I never got to listen to this masterpiece of an album.

You can imagine how excited I was to see that we were getting a new album. Even though I had only been a fan of Porter Robinson for a few months at the time of the announcement of Nurture, it felt like I grew up with him.

Like many others, I wasn't a fan of Get Your Wish when I first heard it. The same went for Something Comforting. It was only after listening to these songs in a more attentive way and after understanding the lyrics that I realised just how much they speak to my soul.

This effect, however, disappeared when I heard Mirror. I instantly fell in love with it, as it came about a month after I started making music myself. Mirror speaks about being too hard on yourself and as somebody who expected themselves to make music as good as Porter, but only delivered something mediocre at best, music quickly became a "burden". Nevertheless, Porter was the one who inspired me to start making music.

On the official release of Look At The Sky, I was surprised by how much better it sounded compared to the sneak peek we heard at Secret Sky 2020. After listening to the sneak peek for months, I was happy to finally hear the finalised song, as it was intended. The words "I'll be alive next year" came at a difficult time for the entire world. They gave me hope that the pandemic wouldn't last forever and that all the valuable time that would be lost in 2020 would be regained in 2021. Even though many countries are behind schedule, it won't be much longer until we return to normalcy.

Musician is a very straightforward song. The simpler production puts more emphasis on the lyrics which highlight the life of a person who wants to follow their passion for music, but is criticised by those around them. I find myself in a similar situation and it was nice to hear that this is a common occurrence among other "musicians".

So, Porter, we *got our wish*, we have been given *something comforting*, we took the time to look in the *mirror* and think about how we treat ourselves, we *looked at the sky* for hope of a better future and we got to see the life of a criticised *musician* .

We have you to thank for all of this, Porter.

Now the time has come. Nurture has arrived and I LOVE IT!

I finally figured it out; it sounds like the feeling of a religious/mindset-altering experience. it's that pure feeling so divine seeming you want to fall to the ground and cry, but only tears of joy at being so lucky to understand how lucky you are to be alive, despite all odds and uncertainty in life, and able to experience this song. To me this song makes me so grateful and nostalgic at the same time it's beautiful.
