This is a seat of the pants adventure by a laid back Aussie adventurer Brendan Edgerton. Who headed off from Melbourne on the 1st February 2013 with a very basic plan on how he was going to get his $150.00 Australian built car around the world and see as many 1948 Tuckers as he could on the trip.
Supporting Moira Kelly and the Children First Foundation by bonnet surfing the Bullet in front of as many iconic landmarks around the world including the Golden gate Bridge, Lombard street in San Francisco, Ground zero in New York. Buckingham Palace in London the Eiffel Tower in Paris, St Basils Cathedral in Moscow . Some how Brendan overcome many obstacles amazingly mechanical issues were the least of Brendan's worries. The main drama of the whole trip was insurance issues in different countries. Even more amazing was the release of the car from Customs on day 299 of the trip followed by a publicity finish at Federation Square in the heart of Melbourne

Mate, what bad luck you had to start with. Amazing the cars that you got to see in LA. I drove around San Fran in an old beat up 1970 Lincoln, but the hill was a challenge…lol. Thanks for sending that. Cheers 👍👍

Tucker 1031 was in my home town of Elk Point SD for over 50 years. It was stored at the local tractor dealer before the movie was done. It was restored for the movie and then hidden from public view when it was shipped back. I was blessed to only live on our many generation farm a few miles down the road from this wonderful car. I never got to see it after it was fixed up for the movie, but knew why it was hidden after the movie made persons understand how special it really was. I got to see the car and the spare engine under a tarp at the tractor dealership. I am so glad the family of this car sold it to a man whom now can show it to the public after it being out of site for such a long time. I have many models of this car and other Tucker cars and pictures and have met and known two Tucker car owners and together they have owned three cars. #1050 is in San Marcos, TX and I lived there for 12 years and was sad for me to move away from such a great car, that was on public view. I met that man when the car was being restored and he also owned the green car that is shot in the movie driving around the track before they rolled the replica. This video is great and you are a lucky man, and many thanks for sharing. While I am watching this I am playing with my waltz blue model with a big grin on my face.
