"Education program evaluation is the systematic collection of information about the activities, characteristics, and outcomes of programs to make improvements.

Join Dr. Kristen Hodge-Clark, senior assistant dean for Program Planning and instructor in the Education Program Evaluation Certificate Program, and Faculty member Dr. Mona Levine, as they discuss education program evaluation.

Program evaluation is done throughout the lifecycle of a program. In the beginning, it's about determining if there's a need for a program and how to structure it. Throughout the program, there is some midcourse corrections so the program is improved. Then at the end, there is a summative evaluation to see if the program achieved its objectives and if it should be continued.

In Focus is filmed at Georgetown University's School of Continuing Studies and brings together professors, faculty members, guest lecturers, and thought leaders to engage in conversations that range from leadership to technology and beyond.
