California Senator Dianne Feinstein dies at 90, leaving Democratic hole in Senate

California Sen. Dianne Feinstein, the oldest member of the Senate and a longtime Democratic standard-bearer, has died. She was 90.

The news was first reported by Punchbowl News. NBC News confirmed the death Friday morning, citing two people familiar with the matter.

Feinstein was a passionate advocate for liberal priorities important to her state -- including environmental protection, reproductive rights and gun control -- but was also known as a pragmatic lawmaker who reached out to Republicans and sought middle ground.

Well, at is not a sudden surprise. Still, Bon Voyage, Ma'am. Most of my relatives don't live to BE that old. It should depend on ABILTY not age. Some people maintain a lot longer than others, it is INDIVIDUAL.
