I would like to share a Latch circuit made with an AND Gate, an OR Gate, and an inverter. The AND Gate output will be connected to one input of the OR Gate. The other input of the OR Gate will be the Latch input. The OR Gate output will be connected to one input of the AND Gate. The other AND Gate input will be connected to the output of the inverter. The inverters input will be the Latch clear input. The AND Gate output will also be the Latches output. This will satisfy the rule that requires IC outputs not be connected to each other (is the way I understand it). (although I have not tried it). But their is no disallowed input condition. As their is with a RS Flip flop. By using three such Latches, four AND Gates, three inverters, and one Buffer, a easily understood Toggle Flip Flop can be made. I have only tried a relay logic Toggle Flip Flop made about the same way. But it would seem to me it would work as stated above with ICs.

serial adder also employs memory and also runs with same clock pulse...Is it a synchronous sequential circuit then??
