You are such a great teacher. Thank you. I remember watching my mother bead on her clothing when I was young. I loved watching her make beautiful items. My people are from Manitoulin Island. I am Ojibwe . It is wonderful to learn traditional skills. My mother taught us basic basket weaving when we were young. How to to harvest vines and make them into useful and beautiful items. We learned about different tannins to dye with. Played at sanding feathers. My grandfather taught me to track and about local flora and fauna on our farm in Michigan as a child. I learned to skin in 3rd grade. Thank you for helping me further my traditional skills and be able to pass them on to my daughter. Have a beautiful day, Thank you.

Mani, thank you so much for providing a thorough and accessible introduction to such an old and revered Indigenous practice. I feel so blessed to have found you and this introduction. I will remember this every time I bead.

I picked up beading supplies for the first time today and this is the first video tutorial I've watched, I am amazed by this craft and how it all just comes together. I appreciate the acknowledgement of native American beading aswell!

I have finally found a teacher I can relate to. I've watched a lot of videos trying to learn and they're good, but they're not right for me. You are a great teacher. Thank you so much. I can't wait to get started. And what you were saying about the stiff felt, I had no idea what to use so I'm glad you explained that. Common sense told me the cloth needed to be tight so I was going to put it in an embroidery hoop. I am a new subscriber .

I find beading really intresting and mind calming. Thank you for your video. Thankfully my mom is sewing, crotcheting etc and we always had things needed for such art. Just needed to get the beads. Hopefully I will stick to it.

You’re an incredible teacher! And very encouraging; I felt like I had a motivational speaker with me telling me to make sure I relax and just worry about it being neat 😅 I had the stupid problem of pulling too tight 🤦🏻‍♀️ Im a bead weaver so I’m used to pulling tightly but you’re absolutely right I just skim over a lot of silly mistakes I’m making and you bring them to my attention! Thank you so much (: I subscribed. I’m making my mom a rainbow flower popsocket and earring set (:

Thank your for slowing down this process. I have watched a few videos on this and they go to fast and ended up having to watch them over repeatedly in order to see what is happening.
