Wow. In 2020 I started the process of moving my home off grid. As of today, we are sitting at just under 50% of our homestead being powered by Solar. I spent a lot of time finding the right charging system, batteries, and inverter.
Now?
Now you can buy a unit like this and only have to add solar to make the magic happen. I I've been using this and 400 watts of solar up at the new studio to power things while I work on it and I am super impressed.
You can get one here:

It's not cheap, but it is less expensive than the same system I setup myself. It's a all in one solution!

Again a nice video. It looks like we have the same interest in radio en offgrid solar systems.
Ik have a 1000 watts multipurpose power station with a solarpanel from EBL. I'm also building a 12V offgrid installation. It's ment for light and electronics. On my roof i have for several years now solarpanels for 230V.

How safe are these batteries ? I watch the news and see battery fires weekly. E-BIKES, E-SCOOTERS, CELL PHONES. The fire commisioner here in NYC calls it a time bomb.

That looks like a nice setup. I have been looking at a few of these. I think from what I have read for long term battery life, I am kinda waiting to see how much longer the lithum iron phosphate batteries last over the lithum ion batteries that many of these use. From what I understand the lithum ion has about a 500 charge cycle life and shouldn't be drianed very low, the lithum iron phosphate are supost to have a lot more charge cycles, and can safely be discharged lower without hurting them. The biggest trade off is that they are heavier and don't have quite as much capacity as the lithum ion. I think it's a pretty good sized investment to maybe need to replace them so often. I know you have had and been using some for a while, what have you experienced as far as battery degradation???

Let me know when you find something that can run a repeater at minus 30 temp in Minnesota.

Great review video! I had invited you to review Arccaptain's MIG200 welding machine in one of your previous videos. Are you still interested in giving it a try?
