Kim Richey: 'A Place Called Home' at Banff Centre

Kim Richey is an American singer and songwriter from Ohio. She was faculty for Banff Centre's Singer Songwriter residency in 2017, and while she was here she sat down with us and played her song "A Place Called Home."

Love this. Learned it from an episode of now cancelled "Angel." Beloved character has her soul and body taken by Illuria, from another world. In video for song, you see the young innocent woman leave home, and parents, to fight demons and bad vampires, with "Angel." She loses to the evil being. SAD..Love this song!

I just saw her in concert and her voice has remained as pure and beautiful as it always was. She had two musicians playing with her with guitars and harmonizing. Really an exceptional experience. If you have the chance to see her, definitely go!
