800k mastery here, let me correct / clarify some points.
-Marking an ennemy gives 10% MS no matter which direction you're running to if you're close enough to them. Also i wanna emphasize on the TRUE SIGHT part making her very strong vs akali shaco khazix leblanc wukong. They become targetable by all your team when hunted and you'll be able to tell the real one and the decoy apart.
-Cougar E hits ennemies in a semi circle in front of her.
-For the burst combo you wanna hold onto your cougar Q as long possible until your passive mark wears off.
-The match ups indicated as easy are the hardest and those indicated as harder are actually the easiest. Lee is skill based but still hard, viego and nocturne especially are just unwinnable at a certain level of play.
- Personnal preferences here but celerity has a lot of value. Depending on your elo zombie ward is also a solid choice as it stacks faster, gives the same stats and provides useful intel for you and your team.
-You should consider leveling E second when starting at blue buff, if you're not gonna play aggro lv 2 / if you had to solo start / if the probability you get invaded is very low.

Last tip, her traps are often underrated because they deal little damage however :
-They only cost 30 mana, have great range and give vision, ideal for scouting without wasting a spear.
-They last for 2 minutes and will reveal the ennemy who stepped on it, can give you MS and a free enhanced jump (takedown eventually).
-If your allies cc an ennemy (or they use zhonya) you always want to place one under their feet so you can reset your jump and extend the mark duration allowing you to cougar Q later for more damage.
-With a bit of luck they can also provide you with free assists / dark harvest stacks.
-With night harvester + dark harvest they deal quite a lot of damage.
In short, lay those traps down on CD.

Yesterday i've read most liked Nidalee build on Mobafire and it says that you do not build shadowflame on nidalee. This is my main problem that i don't like shadowflame (prefer void). At 18 lvl all champions are above 90 100 MR so void will be better option vs squishy

I am also suprised you didn't choose lich bane while it is better option on animal form but i think it is only preferences
