Proud of Welsh people for keeping their language and culture intact.

Wales is underrated, you don't hear about it as much as Scotland, Ireland and England which is sad because Wales is truly magnificent and wonderful!

When the Welsh speak their native tongue they sound like they're singing when they talk. Lovely.

I am a native Hawaiian speaker whose language was endangered, but like the Welsh, we fought hard to bring it back.
My family and I first visited Wales in 2006, and we fell in love with everything there.
Fast forward to 2021, and our family has learned that my father's grandmother was actually Welsh and descended from Elystan Glodrydd!
Even though I was not born there and only been there a few times, I am super excited and proud to know that Welsh blood runs through these veins. I have since started my great journey to acquiring the native language from the "Land of my Fathers."

When an English couple of friends got married in Wales, a group from my town in Mexico drove 4 hours to Los Angeles, flew for 16 hours to London, then a couple of hours by train to Newport, then about an hour by car, to be there in the small town for the occasion. It was quite the long odyssey.
Welsh hospitality blew us away, their open warmth was immediate and such an unforgettable experience.

Being Welsh myself and growing up in this beautiful country I throughly recommend that anyone who ever visits the UK should come to wales for a few days, from the Brecon Beacons and Cardiff in the south to Snowdonia I’m the north and Pembrokeshire in the west, wales really has something for everyone

My childhood dream, inspired by English children books, is visiting the beautiful and peaceful places in England, Wales, and Scotland. Now I am almost 50 and my dream is still a dream. I wish I could visit these places before I die.

My great grandmother left Wales from Liverpool in 1863 to immigrate to the United States. Thanks for this video. I still have her ticket. She was two years old. Mary Lewis age two. :)

This video has flicked a memory switch. I went on a family holiday to North Wales in the summer of 1967. I was seven. We stayed in a cottage up a secluded lane in a village called Cwm-y-Glo, situated at the western end of The Llanberis Pass. I remember it well and have many pleasant memories of those two weeks. My enduring memory was the amount of water; not just in the abundant copious rainfall, but the numerous reservoirs, yet the water was cut off for much of the day. Why? Because there were big black pipes heading towards Manchester and Liverpool. A child's mind is more logical than an adult's and I remember saying to my parents, 'that's not fair.' It still resonates and I can truly understand why the English are not popular in this part of the world. Just a thought.

God bless Rick Steves. He shines a light on all areas, not just Paris and London. I've been a fan of his since I was in college - I'm 50 now.

I visited North Wales for one day only, I saw most of these sightseeings, and it was among the best days in my entire life.

I'm a Yorkshire man who moved here when I was 11. I prefer living here these last 46 years. There is still so much left to see and do.

I left Wales 40 years ago., but here in the Denbigh choir I see Dai Bryn singing his heart out! Dai was a leading charge Nurse or Mental Health worker. A larger than life guy. Great to see him still doing it large!
