Step up to Support an FCPS Classroom

Classroom monitors are an important part of the FCPS return to school plan. It ensures that we can bring students back to the classroom, even if a teacher needs to remain virtual. Manuel Portillo is a central office employee who has volunteered his time to provide this critical support.

(NARRATING) MANUEL PORTILLO who is an ESOL SPECIALIST AT WEST POTOMAC HIGH SCHOOL and he's the classroom monitor which is an important part of the FCPS RETURN TO SCHOOL PLAN AS WE FACE THROUGH THE HARD TIMES IN THIS PANDEMIC. IT ALLOWS US THAT WE CAN BRING OUR STUDENTS AND STAFF BACK TO THE IN PERSON CLASSROOM EVEN THOUGH IF THE TEACHER NEEDS TO REMAIN VIRTUAL TO DO THE ONLINE CLASSROOM.
