I really appreciate your videos. I fear too many people are looking for others to tell them what to buy, and are seeking negative opinions because they are looking for reason snot to buy without experiencing the whole “fear of missing out” thing. I can admit that I used to put a bit too much stock into opinions. Now, I find tutorials and play-throughs the most helpful. It doesn’t hurt to hear opinions, but I like to see what decisions the game offers and if I find them interesting.

Advert = LNER, presumably because I bought a ticket once 4 years ago. So wanted to back Voidfall but it would have just sat on the shelf, thankfully got to play it with a great teach from DT so those who did back are in for a real treat and I shall hope to have another opportunity at a future con.

I have completed Gloomhaven, would have considered it complete to get to the end of the final main story scenario but we played a second time taking the opposite moral approach so as to cover all the side quests/story split quests so have played all scenarios, mostly because we wanted something to play

Midcon is a good convention, the old venue (well the Derby venue, the Midland Hotel) was OK, there was a warren of small rooms and a main space for gaming. I've not had an issue where it is too cramped. It was great for rail travel and transport links

The new Derby venue (Mickleover) is good, 3 main rooms all next to each other. Good breakfast too. The location isn't as good it is further out on the A38.

It had to move as the midland hotel was repurposed during covid and isn't open to the public currently. I never experienced the Birmingham venue.

I should probably word my question with the wordings like "in your memory" or something like that. But it turns out I have got an answer much better than what I want and that is indeed an interesting one.

On the matter of not putting some game components in the box I agree it would be a logistics nightmare, but just as if the universe wanted to contradict you, Chip Theory Games offered a Too Many Bones Unbreakable box version which didn’t include the common components (health chips and attack/defence die) in addition to the full-components version.
Still I think this is a different situation because Unbreakable is surely a stand-alone product (like Undertow) which can be bought as an entry point for newcomers to the TMB series; the “smaller” box was only offered on the Gamefound campaign, where most if not all backers were people who already owns the core game and/or Undertow.

The YT CCs who get the most views are probably Americans. They just have a larger home crowd they play to, you really shouldn't be frustrated about that...
