Chameleon Labs 7603 XMOD Quality control issues.

Bought this unit new and found some unacceptable quality control issues with the unit. I love the look of the unit but for the price I am afraid I cant trust the longevity of this unit so back it goes. These are also no longer made in the usa.

Interesting. I have a 7603 and 7721 and love them both. I hate sending stuff back to.

I got a xmod from Zzounds couple years ago it was made in Washington State, it's the nicest peice of gear I got, their $1699 now my sales engineer said they were still made in USA they got bought out by Audio Alchemist they must of had a few Chinese made units between the company being acquired.

Where did you order the unit from? I wonder if it's old overstock...I just looked on the sweetwater site and it looks like the units have made in usa stickers. It looks like the xMOD is made in usa but the regular one is made in china

I really like my 7721, too, but if the 7603 is now made in China, I won't buy it. I'll have to see if I can get one made in USA.
