In this video Jeff Hicks demonstrates how easy it is to use Windows PowerShell and a cmdlet called Get-Hotfix to learn about what patches, hot fixes, updates, whatever, are installed on your computers in your environment.

Using Get-HotFix you can discover lots of information about patches that may or may not be installed in your computers which can definitely make trouble shooting in your Windows environment a whole lot easier.
