WILD game-tying penalty shot in Women's Frozen Four championship

Wisconsin women's hockey trailed by one goal in the final minute of regulation against Ohio State in the 2025 Women's Final Four championship game, but a penalty shot with 18.9 seconds left sent the thriller to overtime.

All sorts of things to like here. The result is a fantastic move to get the goalie to sellout and to keep moving to make the shot. The confidence in raising your hand to say, "I got this." Finally, the confidence in his players and frankly his job/history for the coach to just ask, "Who wants it" and to go with that. All great things to see regardless of who you root for.

100% Datsyuk did the same move against Nashville. Really that Ohio State player scored a goal on her own team. The skater from the penalty shot, was in forward motion the entire time. Slow down the video and watch it again.
