This is one of the happiest songs ever recorded and I've loved it from its release way back when in 1971!

My wife (gf) saw them live at the Cominco Arena Trail BC IN THE 70’s!
This is the first time Ive seen this video (2024) and yes, the old boys haven’t changed one bit unlike so many others!💕🇨🇦

I think The Stampeders are having more fun playing as Senior Citizens than when they were young man. Gives old guys HOPE.

Oh geez...my favourite song ever.
One of my best memories ever...going to visit my relatives in Calgary and my cousin surprised me...she had bought tickets to see them at the Jubilee Auditorium. Also saw them here in Toronto.
The date today March 5, 2024.
It was meant to be this clip popped up.
It will be 20 years ago in 3 days that my dear cousin Marilyn died. 😪
Sometimes things happen for a reason and seeing this clip made me smile and tear up at the same time.
Actually everything happens for a reason.
😘 From Toronto

I was 11 when the Stampeders were parade marshalls at the Calgary Stampede in 1972. Cowtown is still home to me after all these years. Thanks Rich, Ronnie and Kim for Sweet City Woman!

It's usually rare when a later recording sounds better than the original. I think this does.

One of the best and most underrated songs from the 1970s -- always has been a personal favorite -- such a great, happy vibe.

With all the negativity in the world these days we especially need to appreciate the people who bring joy into it.

Great song. From '70-'72, while in Highschool in Kentucky, I worked on a 350 acre Dairy Farm. We used to hear"Sweet City Woman loud and clear at 5:00 AM while milking our Holstein Cows." There were 3 of us on a milking shift and we would sing along loudly to the song. Great times, hard work, but a lot of fun with music. We used to hear music on a radio station from Fort Wayne, Indiana. The D.J.'s used to say, "music from the little Red Barns of Indiana!"Fond memories! Thank you Stampeders!

The 70s has got to be the best decade for music. Great music, lyrics, dress, character, style, the lot.
