The A/C is broken, but don’t worry. We will get it fixed… in November, just in time for the heater to break as well.

Don't forget: we stop at all railroad crossings. This may not seem physically possible in an airplane, but I can assure you, how we manage to do it will be on the test, so pay attention.

I'm training/subbing to be a teacher and my husband is currently training for his pilot's license and works in aviation. This is PERFECTION!!!

"Flight's cancelled"...perfect way to describe schools in 2020. And probably for 2021, as well.

I am a substitute teacher, and frankly many teachers in my district are so burnt out that when I am in their class I am lucky to find an attendance roster or an emergency folder, or a lesson plan. I just took a 30 day contract where I'm expected to write curriculum for a class, develop a syllabus and lesson plans indefinitely.... on sub teacher pay.

Be nice to substitute teachers. Most of us are giving it all we've got.

I'm going back for my credential, despite having a Master's. Now I'm wondering why

"I'm aware that some of you have expressed concern that the left engine is missing. Rest assured, we put in a work order. We're just waiting two or three years for the approval."
Lol, my high school started new construction one or two years ago and my geometry teacher said that they were supposed to start two years before that.

I rolled at the Moana Oar. I have a large wood board with my name all over it for a hall pass because I was tired of every hall pass going home in the hoodie pocket of the same student. That board didn’t fit in the pocket.

It’s no longer called a substitute here. It’s called a guest teacher now. That’s because you now only need a high school diploma. Just so everyone knows I live in Washoe County Nevada and these are real. Also if you want to be a bus driver here you can get a $2000.00 bonus.

"to slap you in the face with a bag of orange juice"

Last time I bought orange juice from the school cafeteria, it was literally frozen solid.

Don’t forget “we also offer first class for that’s only to those who do cool stuff like sports, music, art… who am I minding art was never cool… and random academic clubs. But don’t worry we will MAKE SURE you will have to earn it first. Money doesn’t grow off trees people(especially all the ones at the airport cause we haven’t been able to fund a gardener sense god knows when)”

When we went on a field trip in grade school, we had a "same seats" rule. They didn't care what seat you took on the bus, but on the trip back to school, you had to remember and sit in the same seat you sat in on the trip there. Once when was riding public transit as an adult, they actually imposed that same rule on us.

Loved the video, but just wanted to clarify for anyone watching, there's a reason why seatbelts aren't on school busses besides cost. The reason cars have seatbelts is to protect the passengers from rapid deceleration in a crash, which could launch them forwards. A school bus, because of its mass, would decelerate slower if it collided with a car (it would push the car for several yards, compared to a regular car-car collision where you would stop). This is also why you can stand in many public busses, because in a collision, the bus will decelerate much slower than a car.

While public transportation has seatbelts in case of a rollover, it was decided that it's far more likely in a school bus for students to need to evacuate quickly. Since school busses could be transporting very young children, seat belts could be confusing for them, or they might not be strong enough to unbuckle it. So, while seatbelts are absolutely essential in small vehicles like cars, and are good in public transportation with adults, they can do more harm than good when used in school busses with young children.

Kind of confused until I realised that in the US a Public School is actually a school for the public, rather than being a Private School as in Britain

This is amazing, and I say that as a former public school teacher.

The part about the Moana ore as a bathroom pass is hilariously accurate. In 8th grade I had wood-shop class and instead of the standard plastic pass that all the other teachers use.. my shop teacher had us use a 3 foot long 2x4 with bathroom pass written on it in sharpee 😆 Remember almost accidentally smacking someone in the face with it every time I had to use the bathroom during his classn
