Overwatch 2 | HANAOKA - Out of Bounds Secrets

With the release of Season 10, a new gamemode "Clash" has been introduced as well as a new map Hanaoka, based off the two capture point (2CP) map Hanamura, today we take a look around the map and under to find some hidden secrets you may not have seen before.

I can't believe I didn't notice hanamura was just outside of hanaoka, so cool! The dragon vs tiger painting represents the feuding clans in the city. The shimada (dragons) vs the hashimoto (tigers). Kiriko fights some hashimoto dudes in her cinematic, and I think thats who Hanzo fights to get into the castle in his cinematic but idk for sure. Nice video!

The new map is good but I wish they would have stick to the idea of reworking Hanamura into a payload map :, c

1:00 in the original, it was the 2 brothers. in hanaoka it feels like shimada (hanzo and genji) vs hashimoto (the guys kiriko beat up in her cinematic). also, the masks below look like the hashimoto masks

The Dragon vs Tiger symbolizes Shimada clan (The dragon) vs Hashimoto clan (the tiger)

I love the idea of ​​the two maps being so deeply connected that we can see Hanaoka in Hanamura and vice versa, but I hate the implication that they have to destroy the arcade in Hanamura to show the castle's gate, that doesn't even make sense with the Hanamura's original size, that's why they had to cut the map in half. It would be much more interesting if they showed an entrance fron the other side of the Arcade, connecting the two maps!

i hope the mural in the training room is hinting towards more development of that side of the story... this combined with some interactions hanzo has (like the one with doomfist where he tries to recruit him) makes me feel like they're cooking something really cool for him

1:00 the twin dragons on hanamura is a reference to genji and hanzo like in their short. The Hanaoka painting representing a dragon fighting a tiger probably refers to the Shimada Clan being in conflict with the Hashimoto who reside in Hanamura after the Shimadas left

They should’ve put the old Hanamura map as part of hanaoka map adding the two original CPs as part of clash mode, I think clash is much better than assault but I wish the original map were still part of it, so much lore and nostalgia was left behind when assault mode was removed leaving the maps unused in ow2

Did they straight up remove hanamura from the game? I checked assault maps on custom game modes last night and couldn't find it.

i think teh difference in the dragon pictures is before and after hanzo killed genji. before they were intertwined and now they are completely seperate?

Hanaoka is a rework of hanamura, that’s why some parts of the map feel so familiar, the fact that they left so much of it out of bounds is crazy
