For 15 years plus our elders have paid £250, 000 to £650, 000.. for care cost. All that money some selling home for a care home. 20 years that alot of money...a really lot of money..but carers wages are £12. A hour...people in care are allowed £3.. each person DAY FOR MEALS...BUT PAYING £2, 500 A A MONTH OUT OF THEIR HARD EARNED CASH..THEIRS NOT THE GOVERNMENTS...

As a support worker if they wait till 2028 were stuffed. Im working 60 hours a week before overtime at £12 an hour. No one wants to do the job at that rate.
People come in see what you have to do and leave.

Because its a big scandal! They destroyed the best care teams financially and emotionally. They gave nearly all the car packages to private companies. One company was sevacare owned by Ravi Baines who is one a government committee. Staff having to work over 60 hours a week just to get a decent living wage.

Sounds like us here in America. You have to be flat broke in order to receive state help in elder care. Like nothing. No car, house, savings, nothing. In fact in order for you to qualify for medicaid, the state insurance, they will now go back five years and take back anything you had. It used to be that our elders would sell their home to family members to spend down assets so that they qualify. If it has been five years or less they will take back anything that you have ever sold. There are stories of people being encouraged to divorce to get assistance

I am so happy that my 90 year old mother lived with my family for two years and I would not have taken any money for her. It was thank you for all the years she took care of me.
