For those who don’t know why Hyper Sonic hasn’t come back is because of the Super Emeralds. The Super Emeralds were a bonus in Sonic & Knuckles for those who already got the Chaos Emeralds. They were really just the regular emeralds powered up by the master emerald. The story says that the super emeralds are in an another dimension. So it’s not that Sega hates hyper Sonic or that Sonic doesn’t use it. He just has no way of getting to the super emeralds.
