Ive watched a ton of these videos over the last 2-3yrs. I do this every 12-18months. Couldnt believe how poor the finish was on OEM Honda receiver.

As added layer of protection, I add spray grease to inside of receiver, esp going into the snowy months

I have to do this with my Toyota Tacoma trailer hitch. Why do you use that brand of spray paint. What brand do you recommend. I was thinking Rust - Oleum. Thanks

Did you use epoxy paint or regular acrylic enamel paint ?
For better resistance scratch and weather I use epoxy.

How did you get the rust off the underside without taking the tow package down?

Waste of time if you don’t take the rust off… I take whole hitch off if it was rust rotted get a new one from the junkyard some of them cars have newer hitch kits with no rust if they are rusted remove all the rust and paint the whole thing…
