Lyrics:

Flyin' me back to Memphis
Gotta find my Daisy Jane
Well, the summer's gone
And I hope she's feelin' the same

Well, I left her just to roam the city
Thinkin' it would ease the pain
I'm a crazy man
And I'm playin' my crazy game, game

Does she really love me
I think she does
Like the stars above me
I know because
When the sky is bright
Everything's alright

Flyin' me back to Memphis
Honey, keep your oven warm
All the clouds are clearin'
And I think we're over the storm

Well, I've been pickin' it up around me
Daisy, I think I'm sane
And I'm awful glad
And I guess you're really to blame, blame

Do you really love me
I hope you do
Like the stars above me
How I love you
When it's cold at night
Everything's alright

Does she really love me
I think she does
Like the stars above me
I know because
When the sky is bright
Everything's alright

Very fortunate to have grown up at a time when we had groups like America, Chicago, and the Eagles, who I believe were all at the top of their game back in the 1970s.

The 70s music will put you on another planet that no one will understand unless you have a love of the 70s music. You don't need drugs or alcohol to appreciate the best music ever. God....take me back to the 70s and leave me there....I'll be just fine.

this is my favorite song of theirs. my dad is a HUGE America fan. He's such a big fan that growing up, we would play their greatest hits album in the afternoon during midday siesta, it would start with a horse with no name and would end with Woman Tonight BUT the song before that is this song, Daisy Jane and I would always ALWAYS wake up just to sing this song for some reason. It's been 20+ years since that time, but my dad and i would still sing along to their songs. What a great memory!

My Dear God I’m so glad I’m old enough now to have been young enough back then.

This is the first song I play as my plane takes off, and it calms me and puts a lump in my throat at the same time! <3

Brings me back to high school. Still tears me up, only now I think of my dear wife who left me for reasons I still don't know. We had such uplifting songs back in the early 70s. Was going to see America in Minneapolis next month until I read that Beckley retired. Hard enough without Peek.
