Hypermedia is a nonlinear, user orientated medium of navigating information which includes graphics, video and plain text that are embedded with hyperlinks that lead to other file locations. Hypertext is an example of hypermedia, in which users can navigate local or networked files by clicking on linked text that will take the user to desired resources or documents.
Hypermedia can be organised through methods such as:
- Nodes & Links
- Uniform Resource Locators (URL’s)
- Metadata such as HTML Tags
