Some people seem to be confused about or disagree with my words, that gilded isn't being used a lot. I explained what proves it in the video, but I assume some people may have missed it or simply haven't watched till that point, so let me explain

Genshin has recommendations for artifact sets, that I show on 6:10, it draws information from different genshin players and basically shows what percentage uses what sets. Now you can go in game and try to count how many characters besides dendro and bloom/hyperbloom/burgeon drivers has that set in their top 3. I'm not saying it should be most used set on many characters, but if it's set that's often second or third best has usage rate below 5%, I think calling it unpopular is fair

P.S. Of course putting "nobody uses" is a bit wrong, but c'mon, title "Set that gets used on way less amount of characters than it should be" sounds a lot worse

2:22 Aggravate keqing actually highly relies on the cooldown shortening to keep her 5s electro infusion from her skill
Edit: im not saying gilded is bad, its still very good on most characters including keqing, but the cooldown shortening is very important for her kit and just something i wanted to point out

All your theories on why people dont use GIlded that much is correct, and also some just wanna maximize for best dps while GIlded is only 2nd best for some. Most unit that could have used GIlded but dont are old units who already have their other set farmed besides Keqing who really wants that thundering fury passive. Puting no one use is extremely wrong cuz gilded is best in slot and most farmed for Alhaitham, Cyno (but sometimes tf is better for it;s skill cooldown reduction), and other purely em scalers such as shinobu and thoma. Overall it;s extremely effecient to farm and is one of the most endorsed set in the game for em scaling units or 2nd best options for other in general.

Gilded is very good artifact set idk what you mean.

I mean its arguably the best set for Alhaitham and Cyno and even good for characters like Clorinde and everybody who is Quicken Dps. However it can be also good on characters that vaporize or melt that scale on Atk% for example Ganyu, but the problem is that they have already farmed sets on them or better sests. I think a lot of players use Gilded.

I would argue Thundering Fury is least used 5 star artifact set with respect to how strong it is. And it makes sence bcs before 3.0 and Dendro, electro characters were worse and you didnt want to do reactions with them (besides electro charged). So from 1.0 - 3.0 it was pretty much not worth it. Another thing is that second artifact is Thundersoother which is useless. And now that a lot of characters want Thundering fury, many people dont want to farm it, since they prolly have more Gilded for example and not want to farm older artifact sets because most of older artifacts sets get powercrept (CrimsonWitch, Heart of Depth, Blizzard Strayer, recently VV, From Inazuma almost all artifacts are powecrept, same with Sumeru and Fontaine, artifact sets get progresivelly better after time)

And there is me who uses 4pc glided on kuki, haitham and has a spare glided set for any other dendro character

The fact is: i dont have characters that DO need a set like gilded. Anyways, sometimes being more specific aint gonna do any harm and its just better. Gilded is very generic, and thats one of the problems it has

If you can stack the 4x Boni from Crimson then it gives 22, 5% Pyro DMG but the only characters that can do it are Diluc, Benny & Gaming

Dendro and Electro DPS's also Ganyu Melt or some Vaporize users use this set. That no one uses the set is kinda misinformation

I never farmed crimson, thundering fury, from the time i started playing genshin i knew it that artifact set like crimson, thundering fury are niche and not worth to farm, i hesitate about guilded before farming but now I gave this set to hu tao, diluc, tignhari and arlechino with staff of scarlet sands this set is really good on especially in vaporize

gilded dreams is one of my favorite sets ever. i use it for almost all my mains

aside from spread alhaitham, gilded dreams is at most 2nd best for other characters. even then, i question it’s effectiveness on alhaitham.

pyro characters are out of the question because those who vape want to use 4pc crimson witch. those who don’t vape are better off with any set that gives more atk%/dmgbonus%/crit. think lyney or arle monopyro, or even yoimiya monopyro (cope)

that leaves us with hydro, electro, cryo and dendro.

hydro characters who forward vape don’t exist outside of mualani, and she uses obsidian set for crit

for electro characters
kuki hyperbloom’s best artifact is 4pc flower of paradise lost. it simply gives her the max hyperbloom dmg possible.

cyno quickbloom’s best artifact is 4pc thundering fury, solving his energy issues while outputting max dps with his skill spams.

fischl aggravate uses golden troupe for dmg bonus, only making gilded dreams better situationally such as not having nahida in the team or bad crit values on golden troupe.

yae miko now uses golden troupe, nuff said.

raiden uses 4pcemblem

clorinde aggravate/quickbloom uses 4pc glad or the new BoL artifact set.

keqing uses 4pc thundering fury to maintain electro infusion uptime, by shortening his skill cd.

reverse melt cryo characters want to use marechausee hunter, or wanderer’s troupe. (think wrio and ganyu)

tighnari’s spread’s best artifact is 4pc wanderer’s troupe

kinich and emilie don’t benefit much from em buffing their burning reaction, but the atk% can buff their overall dendro dmg. even then, you’re better off using 2pc2pc atk%.

that aside, this doesn’t take away gilded dream’s value of being a placeholder artifact set until you’ve farmed a better set for your dps characters. however, it is definitely not the “best” artifact set to actively farm.

Gilded dreams is a set that is easy to farm but the best option on few characters. Alhaitham and Tighnari and i think that's it. Not even Nahida anymore for personal damage she prefers Goldren Troupe. Still good set.

To summarize: Dude makes up a claim that isn't true. Mmh, I wonder why KeqingMains would recommend actual BiS sets over Gilded Dreams. Or I wonder why people wouldn't refarm a set for an old character when it's not even their BiS. But no, it HAS to be people misunderstanding how good it is.

misinformation city. gilded on diluc is not barely worse than CW. the only reason you'd farm gilded instead is when you're fine with doing worse dmg since 36*ing abyss doesn't require perfectly rolled artifacts on the perfect sets. but saying gilded is barely worse than those sets is plain wrong.
