im sticking with cinnabar spindle because it fits him the most aesthetically and its his canon weapon. i got his c2 so his burst scales off def now too (even if it isnt the strongest) so my albedo should be good to go

using the spindle is a no brainer, it's free + it looks better + more total damage + 1.5 upgrade multiplier with cheaper 4star costs + only albedo can use it and I can pass 5 star weapons to other units. other weapons aren't even debatable.

My build for albedo is actually different than others. He is my main dps which means he's both physical and geo and the primordial jade cutter is his weapon.

Albedo is an academic moreso than a fighter, so it makes perfect sense that his combat style is mostly self-DEFensive. His weapon of choice wouldn't be prestigious or divine weapons but rather something he made or heavily costumized for his own usage.

Kinda strange that he uses a sword instead of a Catalyst. (it's what the other academic types use in teyvat)

Thank you for this comparison! I'm currently working on a Noelle Banner Only challenge that is almost at AR55 and that's when I'm declaring the challenge over... and I kind of want that playthrough to become an Albedo main once he reruns. The issue is... no Spindle. Oof.

Thanks to your comparison, I may actually decide to burn the wish stash on Mistsplitter for him, since I'll hit AR55 in time for Ayaka's incoming rerun. That is, if I want to risk potentially having to throw 3 hard pities at the weapon banner, which is roughly how many primos they have saved during the challenge. I did the "save 3 hard pities for weapon banner" thing recently on my AR59 f2p challenge account (for Homa which showed up at 77 pity lol whew!) but they already have C4 Zhongli, C0 Albedo, C0 Wanderer, C1 Diluc, and an unbuilt C0 Jean. The Noelle guys have no 5-stars, though they do have 80+ blue fates waiting to smash into Standard. So it's a big decision and your data helps me mush the thought around my brain.

Albedo with R5 Cinnabar and a 4 piece set of Opulent Dreams. That combo is lip smackin' good. Seriously, Albedo and Zhongli are in the 3 and 4 spots of most of my teams these days.

Definitely sticking with the Spindle no matter what I get really. I have 5 sword users. Discounting traveler, because they aren't useful, and Xingqiu who is always parked on sacrificial sword, that leaves Kaeya and Ayaka other than Albedo, and both would benefit more from any other weapon, than Albedo would benefit from anything over Cinnabar.

As an Albedo main, I run a hybrid build instead of being just a support, Jade cutter is absolutely my go to choice after having gotten it during the Kokomi banner especially after getting his c2 during his rerun. With jade cutter ive been able to reach an astounding crit ratio of 68-193, paired with zhongli it’s easy for his blossoms to hit 20k damage and with only a zhongli shield and geo resonance hitting an 80k burst with 24k damage blossoms following is incredibly easy having the chance of doing even more total damage than a burst dps focused character of mine such as childe. Cinnabar is amazing for those who want an off field support albedo but I cannot ignore that massive crit rate bonus jade cutter gives, I should also mention that I run 2 piece archaic Petra and 2 piece noblesse, I have yet to get good husk artifacts because rng hates me but as soon as I do my albedo is going to be even more cracked hehe

Because of the Cinnabar Spindle Sword, it changed my mind and made me pull for Albedo. Unfortunately I got him at 90 pity because I got Thoma with Mona early on Hu Tao's banner. 14 Intertwined Fate left but there's a silver lining because I finally got my first Bennett at C1 too along with Albedo. I'm still happy despite the fact I don't think my Primogems and Intertwined Fates are enough for Arataki Itto, still thinking of pulling for Gorou though. 😅

try running combo comparison.

for example:
- Its usually to use E > N1 > Q on albedo
- Blossoms from E procs twice (if I recall correctly) once the above combo is performed (one from N1, the other is from Fatal blossoms)
- Im rooting for spindle to win! HAHAHA
