does the animations workw ith other game engines?

I'm having issues with the wander script. Is there some element that you have to add to the model or environment like a collider to get the script to work? Everything I put into my scene just runs in place and the script box unchecks itself when I hit play to run the game. Unity noob here so I'm sure I just missed something.
