I am Ken Abroad, a full-time traveler traveling southeast Asia. It is my goal here on the channel to visit every country in southeast Asia and bring you along the journey.
You won’t see many tourist places in my videos, I rather like to show the “real” sides of each country in my videos. Where do the local people go to eat? Where do they hang out? How do the locals travel through the country? Stuff like that.

Missed a video from the family trip?
Hope my family can return for another trip next year, then maybe to Malaysia & the Philippines 😊

I really, really loved our time in Asia! And your footage of our wonderful time there. My memories, however, are much more intense than the videos could ever portrait: the feelings of joy and excitement we all shared, the surprises, the wonderful smells, the friendliness everywhere. I am so glad I came and will definitely be back next year. x

Tears in my eyes when you received two big hugs from your mom and your aunt. Hope to see your family reunification in the near future. Just love the way your mom explained how she understands why her son love Thailand. May Buddha and God bless you all.

As Thai, I am so proud and honor that my country, Thais, and myself have opportunity to welcome you and your family and looking forward to welcoming you and your family again soon. Good luck and good trip back home.

It always amazes me how we are literally strangers yet I can have so many tears watching you with your mum! First when she arrives and runs to hug you and now when she goes. Such feelings you help with your wonderful videos. Thank you Ken 🙏

Who wouldn’t shed a tear watching you say goodbye to your family. I cried, from a Mothers point of view very difficult. I enjoyed all the videos. You gave them a great holiday.

You can rest assured that the taste of dried durian will be milder, but still delicious, you can also ask your mother to share the video of her eating!
I like your family so much, I didn’t expect them to go back to Germany so early, I hope you will take them to visit my country one day!
Please kindly tell your mother, aunt and uncle, I am very happy to know them, now they also have a great fan in Asia, thank you very much for sharing! 👍🥰❤🙏

Phew! That was emotional viewing, as Mary-Anne commented, complete strangers but tears swelling up and taking over one's involuntary emotions. Your mother's love is so obvious and it's easy to see where you gained your compassionate and caring nature, it is no wonder that she is proud of you as I'm sure so many of your followers are. Fantastic viewing and one of my favourite channels, well done, Ken and thank you.

I thoroughly enjoyed your videos with you and your family. Your mother is what we in the US would call a "good sport, " and I can see where you got your wonderful personality from. She was really thrilled to see you and really enjoyed her time in Thailand. As you said, how can two weeks go by so fast? Saying goodbye is always difficult. Hopefully, they will all still be in good health and able to come back for another Asian adventure with you next year. Philippines is a good choice or maybe Chiang Mai and northern Thailand. The only downer is the 30-hour travel time to get back home, that was a shock to me.

Your family’s arrival and departure in Thailand were so emotional; am setting in a coffee shop wiping tears away. I’m glad your family enjoyed their holiday-you are an amazing tour guide for them!

Your mother is very sensitive and aware and open to new experiences. I found her description of older people in Thailand vs Germany an astute observation. And even more telling was her comment "I guess they have to work, its not by choice"...showed me that she can see other's circumstances in a bigger picture and she didn't totally romanticize stranger's existences.

Take care Ken. You have an amazing lifestyle and have worked really hard, but just remember that you can always fly home whenever you feel homesick. Take care and enjoy the next adventure that awaits you.
